Fugro , global director - land geophysics
Rod Eddies is the global lead of Fugro’s land geophysics group. He obtained a BSc degree in geology and MSc in exploration geophysics from the UK prior to completing PhD research in seismic wave propagation. Following a career that has included both onshore and offshore geophysics in oil and gas, mineral exploration and engineering geophysics, Rod is part of a group focussing on investigating the top 1 km to develop ground models largely for engineering and resource projects but particularly for nuclear, transport and oil and gas infrastructure. Current interests include the development of Fugro’s advanced site characterisation approach, development of broadband multicomponent seismic techniques for near surface imaging and the development of early-phase and lightweight geophysical screening techniques. Rod is based in the Savoie region of the French Alps.
