Kier , managing director, infrastructure
Sean has worked for Kier Group for over 20 years, and is currently Managing Director for Kier Infrastructure Projects. In this capacity he oversees major infrastructure projects including Nuclear, Highways and Bridges, Defence, Coastal and Ports, Aviation and Transport. A civil engineer with a first class honours degree from Cardiff University, Sean has extensive experience of major projects in a wide variety of sectors such as Power, Nuclear, Transport and Marine. Key civil engineering projects include 10 years on major highways schemes; the 2nd Severn crossing; Devonport Dockyard D154 upgrade; South Hook LNG (at the time the largest marine project in Europe); Langage and West Burton CCGT power stations; Crossrail Western Running Tunnels and Farringdon Station; Mersey Gateway bridge, Hinkley NNB. Sean has extensive experience of working in joint ventures. He is actively involved in the Institution of Civil Engineers, Constructing Excellence, CECA and other engineering forums. A strong promoter of collaborative working, Sean’s leadership ethos is to foster a culture of teamwork and open and honest behaviours.
